Tax Function of the Future: State Tax Predictions

Presented by Amy Breuer, SALT Indirect Manager at PwC and Seth Petterson, SALT Income/Franchise Manager at PwC

The presentation will cover the presenters’ predictions for legislative and regulatory developments and suggest ways companies should think about how to adapt their tax function to support and keep pace with these changes. Attendees will gain insight/exposure into:

  1. The state of the states: The increased frequency and broadening scope of legislative and regulatory changes.
  2. The state tax function in reaction to federal legislation.
  3. Exporting the tax burden: Stop resident outflow while increasing the tax burden of out-of-state businesses
  4. Closure of perceived loopholes: Raise revenue without “raising taxes”

No preparation or prior knowledge of state and local taxation is required.
