Jeanette Tolar, Sr. Tax Manager, Plante Moran

As the leader of the state and local tax team for the Rocky Mountain Region, I am responsible for identifying client’s state and local tax risks and opportunities and finding solutions to minimize and manage state and local taxes.  I also continue to train and develop the Rocky Mountain Region state and local tax team.  I have expertise in state, income, and franchise taxes; business and personal property taxes; unclaimed property taxes; and state and local sales and use taxes.  With more than 14 years of experience, I am often asked to speak to clients, their boards, and at industry conferences about state and local tax issues and the changing landscape. I received my bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Metropolitan State University of Denver.

When I’m not in the office, I’m busy staying active. I enjoy triathlons, four-wheeling in the mountains, boating, and spending time with my family.

Fun fact: I enjoy motorcycle rides and triathlons.
